With more than four decades of vacuum brazing expertise, BMI offers solutions to a wide range of brazing needs, from metal-to-metal to metal-to-ceramic to active metal applications. Our facility is equipped with multiple brazing and material processing furnaces, as well as a leak-checking facility to verify the integrity of vacuum brazed and welded components.

Our metal-to-metal component brazing helps solve requirements that are often difficult. Examples of applications include:
• Complex CNC-machined stainless steel assemblies
• Copper particle accelerator components
• Waveguides for microwave applications
• Surgical devices for angioplasty and other applications
ceramic-to-metal brazing
We are experts at providing precise brazing of ceramic-to-metal components. Past applications include:
• Complex high-voltage feed-through assemblies
• Ceramic windows for RF waveguide applications
• 8" diameter ceramic rings to kovar
• Subsequent welding of the kovar to stainless steel
active metal
We provide vacuum brazing services for active-metal brazing of ceramics to metals when pre-metallization of the ceramic may not be possible. Examples of past applications include:
