BMI fabricates an Aerosol Neutralizer Body with mounting brackets for two Polonium-210 ionizing strips (Model 2U500 from NRD LLC(TM)). The neutralizer is appropriate for imparting a Boltzmann charge distribution to particles in sample flow rates between 1 and 5 lpm and total particle concentrations up to 50,000/cc.

Size distributions observed using the BMI neutralizer have been compared successfully against those obtained using other commercially available neutralizers. The neutralizer is appropriate for use with differential mobility analyzers and for diluted atomizer flows. The unit is shipped without the Po-210 strips, which must be purchased directly by the end-user and are easily installed.
